Use the 2 prgrams below and then get spywareblaster.
Download, update and run Spybot---http://www.safer-networking.org/ . Don't forget to use the Immunize feature.
Download, update and run Adaware---http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/products/select_your_product.php
SpywareBlaster doesn't scan and clean for spyware - it prevents it from ever being installed.
It's main features include:
- Prevent the installation of ActiveX-based spyware, adware, browser hijackers, dialers, and other potentially unwanted pests.
- Block spyware/tracking cookies in Internet Explorer and Mozilla/Firefox.
- Restrict the actions of potentially dangerous sites in Internet Explorer.

The best way to get rid of malware is by understanding YOUR OPTIONS, its not an easy task, because most of the browsers are designed to give you the sense that there is nothing you can do about it, except spend more money and buy more software, on the explorer browser you can decide for example to block all the cookies or block only thir party cookies or let you decide which websites are authorized to download cookies, that is were all your problems begin, to do that go to TOOLS and select Internet Options, Click on Security and you will see that the browser has several security levels, if you decide to go for the highest level of security, you will be annoyed by a lot of warnings and malfunction of websites whose right operation depends on acces to your computer, like ActiveX controls and scripts, you have to do some research to understand those concepts and then decide which features you want to allow, once you understand some of these concepts then go to CUSTOM Level and do some damge, restrict the acces of the featuresto access your computer, the next step is COOKIES. Go back to internet Options and click on Privacy, like in Security, your Browser already has some levels, click on Advanced, a window will open and you will find the solution of how to get rid of most of the malware: Cookies, first check OVERRIDE AUTOMATIC COOKIE HANDLING, that means tha from now on, you are in charge, then select PROMPT for FIRST-PARTY COOKIES and do the same for THIRD-PARTY COKIES, you can also uncheck ALWAYS ALLOW SESSION COOKIES, but then it will be more difficult to see all the cool stuf of some websites, from this moment, every time that somebody wants to download a cookie in your computer you will be PROMPT, then you decide if you want this wbsite to be block forever, or if you allow a cookie only once, this is entirely up to you.... Good luck

Get crap cleaner ( www.ccleaner.com) and AdAware. Also, go to www.download.com and check out the security center for some good programs. I'd stay away from webroot spyweeper. I tried it and it didn't work for me other, you have to buy it for it to do anything, and evern then it might not even work. I just uninstalled it. I also have Spyware Doctor, i paid for it though and it works great!
