I have a beautiful bambo plant that was near the heating duct. As a result it was dry and turned partially yellow. Can I save it?

If it's a real bamboo plant, it's a grass. Move it to a cooler sunny location and water it. They like water, just not standing water. Many bamboo don't like living indoors. But they will send up new shoots in early spring or so. The roots can be extremely hardy depending on the type of bamboo. Be patient.

If it's a lucky bamboo, it's actually a kind of dracaena plant, and yes-you can cut off a piece & try to reroot it.

Good luck!

Once it starts turning that color, it is usually too late. My plants end up getting very dry and hard. You need to start looking for a new bamboo plant. :( THey are not like normal plants you can treat to get well. :(
