For the past week or so i have been receiving my old emails again, every so often it says 10 new and emails i've read and deleted months ago are being sent to my inbox. It is generally the same 10 over and over! Very annoying!
I also received a few emails that were sent weeks/months ago but never received until this week.
Any ideas what's up?

Make sure that you haven't received any error messages. Sometimes when your pop mail is received, there are errors that pop up that there was a problem with your server. Check to make sure that all of your settings are correct. Go into your mail server from your provider and sign in there. You could possibly delete the messages from there. I have had a similar problem in the past.

Outlook express keeps a note of which emails it has downloaded from the server but they emails may remain on the server.
If something goes wrong with outlook or the email data on the server it may think it hasn't downloaded them before and download them again.

Outlook Express has a special feature called Purge. When you delete messages, there should be a line across them. Then at the top, you should see a button called purge. Click it. All deleted messages will be removed.

DO NOT USE OUTLOOK EXPRESS!!!!
Its a virus magnet, use a remote email provider like yahoo or hotmail. They have free spam and virus filters that are built in and work.
