Do you mean the world, the planet earth or life on the planet earth. If I was to guess, I do think there is going to be a world war, and it will be the worst ever. This will change LIFE as we know it.
We have created a monster, by using our intellect in ways to destroy ourselves rather than in way to preserve ourselves.
With heightened hostility in the world right now, the lack of diplomacy in foreign relations and the growing number of evil villians attempting to gain control over WMD, I think this world is a stage set for disaster.
My guess, world war - radioactive release, massive disease, a period of earth healing, with or without man, and ultimately the sun will expand, and burn out.
If we are smart, we will use our intellect for creative ways to ensure our survival somewhere in this universe, and bring peace amongst all nations and people.

One day... One Day in the long lost future it will. But not now, it will end though,its presence will come to an end one day not everything lasts forever but into the dark future it will but really into the future maybe when theres only one person left on earth
