I'm a member of the Salesianum swim team. We're the best team in DE. My goal this year is to get my 50 free time under 30. Please suggest some good gear. Don't recommend any suits because I have to wear the team suit.

Hi. We are the best tem in OH. haha. Actually, 4th, but who's counting.

At the beginning of the season, our coach makes us buy a few things. Kickboards, paddles, and fins, and a bag to put them in.

The kickboard, for obvious reasons.

The paddles, for shoulder strength. They really help. They go on your hands and you swim (or pull with a poolboy). They add resistance to your arms and build up strength specific to your stroke style. Like, my shoulders do not do a lot of the work in my stroke, just my muscles. I use the paddles for 10 x 200 pull and the next day, I cant move my shoulders bc it worked them so much.

Fins, for your kick. You dont use them with a kickboard though. You go one length of the pool underwater and with the fins, your muscles will get benefit. Underwater makes the resistance more. You also go fast and its fun.

You're a member of the swim team. You're the best team in DE. You want to get your 50 free time under 30. And yet, you don't have any idea what some good gear is? Really? Are you serious? And this is where you've chosen to get your swim gear information? Not other members of the team? Not the coach? You might want to rethink your choice.

You should wear a cap, silicone is best for comfort, your suit (obviously, i hope), there are some nice speedo goggles out there but they're kinda expensive, like 40 bucks or more.

P.S. Im in highschool too, and i dont wear any special gear, but i go a 23.4ish (SCY). You don't really need fancy gear. Just work hard, practice well, and taper well.

regularly, a swim team could have a patterned or reliable healthful for each individual on the team, so which you adult adult males seem an analogous. that's no longer vital which you comprehend all the strokes because of the fact once you're making the team - you will in all probability swim one or 2 events, yet for the period of practice, your coach will in all probability make you do all the strokes faster or later.

WAIT!!!- you are the best team in DE and your trying to break 30!!! and you're in highschool!! no gear will make you swim under 30, its what's in you. practice beats talent when talent doesn't practice. there is no gear besides suits that will HELP you break 30. gear will only HELP you, it wont guarantee you under 30. practice is the only gear to break 30. PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE, AND MORE PRACTICE!!!

To whoever said going to teammates and coach yes you would talk to them but maybe this person wants to know what experiences people have had with other companies and so on I would go wiht Speedo or some highly recommended stuff that your teammates or coach recommends.

You could wear a swim cap. Boys wear that too. It keeps your hair in place so that it won't bother you. It will also lessen your drag weight.
