I want to write books for a living, of course without having any formal college eduation, I want to write books for a living and make tons of cash, buy selling my ideas to movies directors and so fourth. can you assist me on my journey

concentrate on writing the book and getting it out there, either by self-publishing or approaching a major publisher, personally i'd try both at the same time. once you get it out there you have to promote it, heavily, really hit the pavement and get the word out. there are plenty of book fairs and conventions that can help you get exposure. create a web site and launch a heavy internet campaign, talk to your local T.V. station, or approach your library with your book. chances are your own home town is going to be the best generator of buzz you have for your project. writing a book is a dirty, grimy process, there's nothing glamorous about it. you have to write, rewrite, rewrite, edit, reedit, so on and so forth. you could finish the book today but spend all of the next few months or the next year or so getting the word out there and getting people to read the thing. if the book is popular enough and does well hollywood will probably approach you anyway.

or you could just go the direct route and write a screenplay and take control over your own vision and get into hollywood that way. if you just write a book, you're relying on someone else's talent to get it into movie form, and depending on the director and the producer that book may or may not come off the way that you intended it to for that audience. good books make for good movies, but only with the right talent and someone with the intution to realize how your work can be put on that big screen; a lot of great books were not represented properly on the big screen at all.
