I am almost 46 and my sons are 30 and 28 and it still seems like yesterday that they were small. I can still remember things from way way back too. In fact I was just telling my mom how I remembered once when everyone was at my grandmothers house and crying and I couldnt at first figure out why and then we went to the funeral of my great grandmother. My mother was amazed that I remembered that since I was only 2 at the time. At times when I think about my age I cant believe it especially when I look in the mirror. I dont think of my life as in years and never stress on it. No one I know believes that I am 45. Time is no guaruntee for how long your loved ones will be with you. Dont waste precious moments with your loved ones worrying about time. Just enjoy everyday. People make themselves grow old by worring about time. People tell themselves that they are old and they find they are old. This might sound crazy but I tell myself that I am going to live for ever and that i am never going to get old. Sounds crazy but so far it is working. At 45 I have no illnesses no grey hairs no wrinkles and can still climb fences and up on the roof . I can still do the splits and back bends and do nothing special to watch my health other than I refuse to get sick or old. My old man calls me a witch. Time is obvious but if you allow it to rule your life it will take over.

I understand what you are saying.
When I turned age 35, I was terrified about turning 40.
I took up weightlifting.
Now I am 54. And I went from a medium shirt to a XXL shirt.
NOW I look forward to the future!
My life is great.
My job is great.
My family is great.
Family members grow up, get old, many die. But many more new ones come into your life.
And yes, I still remember many times of my childhood. Down to age 7.

What is great about being 54? I have had 50 years of listening to rock and roll music. There is not a ipod big enough for all the songs in my head.

at 43 i see people who are 18 or 19 and think i am the same as them but then i wake up and think wow i could well have been the kids father.
i prefer that time just keeps on going like it seems to be because i don't like this life and want to leave it asap . without killing myself.

Do not worry about it, be worried if it stands still.
