It's going to be hard to compare or compete the the Red Wings when it come to winning on a consistent basics.
The Lions need a solid QB. They have a decent back in Jones, Roy Williams is a beast, Mike Furrey is decent, and the need to get #1 pick Mike Williams more involved. Williams is 6'4 with great speed and should not be sitting.
( The Charles Rogers thing was from lack of desire. Waste of a top pick. )
You really can't tell how good or bad the defense is because they are always on the field from Kitna throwing a league leading 21 int's.
Even with Kitna's massive turnovers the team was competitive for most of their games.
The Lions will have one of the top picks in the up coming draft.
Brady Quinn could be headed top candidate. He's big strong and smart from having Weiss as a coach.
Hang in there. Every team gets it together at some point. If the Pats, Rams, and Seahawks can do it co can the Lions.

it somewhat is likewise the Lions first sellout at Ford field in present day weeks. Their final 3 domicile video games were regionally blacked out, and that i became shocked to be sure that this interest bought out. i can't have faith that there is a sturdy form of Lions followers who think of that they are in a position to surely pull off the disillusioned. I stay in the Detroit section, and that i became listening to a close-by radio station the different day. human beings have been calling in asserting that it may take place. right this is what i think of: no longer a gamble. The Lions would be incredibly embarrassed after immediately's interest. It won't additionally be close. Prediction: Tennessee 31, Detroit 10 chuffed Thanksgiving!

And don't forget the Pistons.
And I wouldn't be surprised if the Wolverines could beat the Lions.
Until the OWNERS are comitted to SPENDING THE MONEY on ALL key positions;
they'll keep the stadium filled BUT
NO WINNING FOOTBALL TEAM.
SPEND THE MONEY.
A CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM WILL EARN IT BACK.

My understanding is when they get an owner who truly cares. You can't hire friends and expect them to be great. You have to hire people can do the job.
