First of all, The Jeffersons was a spin off of All in the Family so it had the same creative team behind it making these two more like one big extended show of two "families" in the same universe. Of course I'd still have to say "Three's Company" was my favorite because even though it was always the same crazy misunderstandings that caused the problems each week it never got old watching them create messes and then try to get out of them. However, unless I'm mistaken "Three's Company" and "Different Strokes" were both sitcoms in the eighties so "All in the Family" would have to be my favorite one from the seventies if the decade is the determining factor.

"All in the Family". They are having reruns here on TV here, its even better than back then - I was too little to understand it really. My parents were crazy about it though. My Mom used to do the Edith thing every time there was someone at the door (Coooomiiing!) And Dad used to do the Archie bit (making an imaginary noose and hanging himself) when Mom carried on and on about something.
