I'm with you on the Liesl. I love that name, but I think it's a bit too "German" for the U.S. For boys, in terms of old-fashioned names, I'm really fond of Ivan. For girls, besides Liesl, I like Veronica and Isadora.

my grandmother's name is Lelanii. I absolutely love that name! I considered naming my daughter Lelanii, but I wanted her to have her OWN name. If my grandmother had passed, I would have named my daughter after her. My great grandmother's name was Zella. I like that name too. It's really pretty and unique. My cousin named her daughter Zella.
