very active once it was born? Or did you find the two unrelated?

I am interested because at 20 weeks, I feel my baby move around 30 - 40 times a day AND I have an anterior placed placenta so it SHOULD be harder for me to feel movements.

I love feeling him move, but Im also getting a little anxious thinking hes going to wear me out good once hes born.

Thank you for your answers!! I really appreciate it!

Before my daughter was born, we all made jokes about how she'd be a soccer player when she was older. She was very very active and never gave me a moment's rest. I am sorry to say that at 21 months, I still haven't gotten a chance to rest. She is very active...and very loud.

My friend however had a different outcome. Her son was very active in womb, and is quiet and reserved now at 22 months. He has his moments where he gets hyper, but what child doesn't. I also had a friend whose daughter barely ever moved or kicked and she is even more active than my daughter now.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that an active baby in womb doesn't necessarily mean they will be overly active once born. I think every baby is hard to handle at some point, but your child might be a calm, perfect gentleman most of the day. It all changes with age too because there was a stage where my daughter was very quiet and timid, and she was "cautious" around strangers and family members not seen on a daily basis. Her personality changes from one day to the next.

All I can offer to you by way of advice is...get as much rest as you can now and sleep whenever he sleeps once he's born. Even if you can't sleep, just lay still and relax as much as you can during the day. And if he is active, take him outside or to a mommy and me group or a play gym each day and just let him get his energy out. It works wonders. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy and god bless.

all my babies moved quite a bit. My twins more than my other two. One would get the hiccups and it would wake the other. They fought none stop before they were born. Once they got here, they were like any other baby though. Newborns do sleep A LOT! The eat and sleep and poop, for the first few weeks. They slowly start to spend more time awake. Now that my twins are 18 months old, they're right back to fighting, ha ha. You'll be tired, just from the new two hours up, two hours asleep schedule caring for a newborn creates. It's when they become mobil that they wear you out. Just because he moves alot now, doesn't mean he's going to be awake all the time when he gets here. Being born is hard work too,ha ha!

Most babies move around quite a bit, but you won't feel most of the movement. When I was pregnant, I felt kicking, and the baby stretching. After she was born, she wore me out, because I was used to sleeping at least 8 hours every night. It takes months for babies to roll over, so until they do, it doesn't really matter how much they move around. Get a play gym, or a bouncy chair, and let them stretch their legs. Don't freak out, it will all be okay.

I would LOVE to say that it makes no difference but in my case, I have three, I can't say that. The middle one was very active. She ended up being the one that wanted to nurse all of the time and demanded things go her way. We didn't treat her any differently than the others, it was just her personality (and still is at 19)
My son moved so little that I became worried. He is the mellowest kid I've ever seen (He's 17 now)
My first was breach so kind of stuck in one place. She is very mellow and easy-going.

I found that it is really unrelated. I have 4 children, and all of them were extremely active. Once they were born, they were your average baby...did nothing but eat, sleep and poop.
Just wait until you're in your last month...that's when the babies activity will really wear you out. I could hardly get to sleep because of all the baby's tossing and turning around in there.

My son was not very active in the womb and he was always still after he was born until about 3mths old.
My daughter was very active in the womb, nearly killed me with the rib kicks and stuff....and she is very active, even in her sleep. Always moving her arms and legs, my husband jokes that she has ADD she moves so much.

in accordance to the Antenatal domicile Care Nurses who come see me a pair of circumstances a week, it would not nessicarily advise the infant would be energetic whilst born. even nonetheless, it somewhat is a brilliant sign that the infant is healthful. infant may well be sturdy, no longer below weight and healthful whilst born. Do your fetal flow counts each and every so often. Its 10 movements in 2 hours to be "ok", energetic is often getting 10 in below quarter-hour whilst below 32 weeks... I oftentimes get 10 in below 5 minutes, i be attentive to the way you sense!
