why do u need more ram...think first

i dont know ur requirements buddy but try using freeramXPpro..it utilizes ur RAM in the best way....frees it at times automatically..its good

256+ is needed only when ur playing very high end games...otherwise NOT.

theres some websites that u can look it up by model of computer of u can always call the manufacturer and they'll tell u .
