Here you have some of the best:
NFS (racing)
Fifa (football)
Age of Empire and Zeus (strategy, mythology)
Chicken Invaders (where you have to kill some chickens ;) )
And here you have links to sites that offer free games (or trial versions):

This computer is definitely not a gaming computer. The Nvidia 6150 is an entry level video card, and is more used for basic gaming and does not even support Direct X 10. You should at least look into getting a Geforce 8800 GT. I would really not use this computer since the processor runs from 2.1 to 2.5GHz respectively. Not a gaming or encoding chip by any stretch of the imagination, these processors are best suited for media center PCs or in any application where quiet and cool operation take precedence over performance. You should go for something in the $500 range, or build the computer yourself, but this is by far not a gaming machine. Good for basic stuff though, but it might need at least an 8600 GS or GT to run Vista well. Have a nice day Ken

I would say maybe Halo, Runescape, or wait until Halo 2 comes out for Windows Vista.

Guild Wars Nightfall. It is a MMORPG, so you need an internet connection, but once you buy the game it is free forever.
