A slim Jim is a long thin metal strip that you ccan purchase at a parts store for about $7.00. you slip it down beside the window glass and try to hook the inner workings of the door lock mechanism and release it. You WILL succeed but it will take about an hour of "fishing"
On that model I would try poking around near the door key entry point.

It's been a while since I've seen it done, but way I saw how to do it while working in a garage was to pull out the rubber seal where the glass retracts into the door then poke around with a hooked piece of wire (like a coat hanger or something) until ya latch onto something which allows you to unlock the door.

Same thing happened to me. Get a long coat hanger (you might have to use 2, and twist them together). Fish it through the window and ACROSS to the other lock (trying to get to the lock on the same door is very difficult). Use the driver's door window, because the steering wheel will get in your way.

A locksmith will have the tools to unlock the vehicle. You will have to pay whatever they charge for a come to you service call. If you or your son are a member of a automobile club like "AAA" "ALA" or one of the myriad other roadside assistance auto clubs they will do it for you no charge because you are a member.

You don't have a spare? I would reccomend him getting a spare set of keys at a local hardware store, but I think a lock pick could work?
