I live in British Columbia but was exposed to asbestos in Ontario during the late 60s and early 70s. The Workplace Safety & Insurance Board (WS&IB) is saying that I have no entitlement. The WS&IB has accepted asbestos related pleural disease but will not accept the diagoses of asbestosis. Do I have any options?

You need to find a respiratory specialist who can pinpoint where and when you were exposed. To make it easier, try and find support groups for this, you may have them in Ontario...especially if you were exposed in a certain workplace or school. If you can track down others you worked with or went to school with who suffered the same fate. Power is in the numbers. You may even have a class action law suit against a former employer/school board. Good luck.
