Infant feces does often look like diarrhea. Babies do dehydrate easily. Diarrhea will cause dehydration. The best indicator of this being harmful to your baby is too look at the infants softspots (especially the frontal soft spot on the top of the head). If they are concave (sunken in), your infant is dehydrated and most likely has diarrhea. You should be more concerned over dehydration than diarrhea. If the infant is dehydrated, call your pediatrician, urgent care or ER right away (since it is the holidays) to devise a solution.

Are you absolutly sure its diarhea?? Infant poop is very similar to diarhea...its runny at first. After a week or so it should look like yellow mustard with little seeds in it. It could also be due to switching her from milk to formula, her stomach has to adjust to the changes in such a short time. Try pumping some milk for her if she wont take the breast.
Call her pediatrician first before going to the ER.

call the dr immediately!!!!!!!! are you sure it is not just regular poop? breastfeeding poop is different than formula poop. breastfeeding poop should look just like orange juice in the diaper. also, be careful not to switch back and forth with breastfeeding and formula, it really really hurts your baby's tummy. just call the dr asap!!!

Call your doctor or visit the ER. Tiny babies need to be looked at for this.
