You could have a virus. Run a virus scan and also spyware. These will detect if you are infected. Since it became most prominent after you downloaded from Limewire, suspect that file of carrying the virus and give it special attention. It might even be worthwhile to remove it. I have encountered a similar problem with Yahoo messenger, but it usually turns out to be that the system is associating the wrong password with my user login.

Considering that you just used P2P software, have you done a thorough scan of your system?

So, are you saying that as the main interface boots up, you see these messages? Can you still run the programs, or will it shut down automatically?

What you can do is try to reinstall msn messenger. It may just be that something went wonky with some files.

I'm no expert, and this is my slightly educated guess, but the Limewire may be designed to use your MSN Messenger as a default. You can look into MSN and try to disable it.

If you do not use MSN messanger, then take it off your task list for startup programs too run. I dont know though

it could be anything

limewire can mess up your computer :S

but i dont think anyone would give you something to specifically make it so that you cannot run MSN messanger :S

What do you mean by usual pop-ups..I never get any pop-ups on my computer. Do you have your pop-up blocker activated? If you don't, go to tools-pop-up blocker-turn on pop-up blocker..If that doesn't work for you, get the yahoo toolbar, it has a very good pop-up blocker. Do not use limewire, it will give you nothing but a headache..When you get an error report, send it, sometimes they will have a link to your problem..Good Luck..

I think that waht you should do is uninstall MSN and uninstall Limewire. This happened to me too. If you are going to use a p2p software program, use Morpheus, it is much better.

Hope this helps! Merry Christmas!!!

You may have gotten some unwanted programs. Run the scans below.
Update and run your Anti-Virus program. Don't have one? You can run a free online scan from Trendmicro. When I have tested it it takes some time to run it but it may be time well spent if it can fix any problems.

Download and run http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

Download, update and run Spybot---http://www.safer-networking.org/ . Don't forget to use the Immunize feature.

Download, update and run Adaware---http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/products/select_your_product.php
