Here is what I paid for the trips I have taken. Feb 4, 2006, $878 on expedia. April 24, 2006, $1478, direct from United. Aug. 23, 2006, $1076, direct from Northwest. For Jan 24, 2007, $866, direct from Northwest. The price on Jan 5, 2007 was $1358. So I waited and got a good deal. I am flying from Cleveland.

I'm a frequent flyer to the Philippines, the peak season for in bound travellers usually is between Dec 1 to 24, that's when the tickets are expensive, other than that, the ticket prices should be alright.

The peak season here is from March to early June (Summer) and around Christmas Time. If your planning to go to the central part of the Philippines (Visayas Region), additional peak time there is 2nd half of January.

Just avoid these peak months and you'll save a lot.

I live in Tampa and go every year. The best time for cheaper tickets is in the spring (March, April, or May). I prefer going in April or May. March is okay, but it is a bumpier plane ride since the rest of the U.S. is still cold at that time of year. Don't go in June because thats the start of the rainy season there.
