I haven't really gotten anything horribly bad for quite some time.
The cheapest thing, financially speaking, I've gotten so far this year is a paperback novel. Outside of cards that is.
The meanest thing I ever got for Christmas was a framed photo from an ex girlfriend back in my early 20s. We'd dated for a couple years, and I really digged her. Unfortunantly, at some point in the second year of our relationship, she started cheating on me occasionally with a friend of ours. I found out, & we ultimately broke up that October. A few days before Christmas, I got a package from her in the mail. When I opened it, there was a framed 4x6" photo of her smooching said former friend, rather passionately. It had been a bad break-up, and this didn't help matters.
However, I have not seen anything in the mail from the she-witch since then, so maybe Santa is intercepting that junk. ;)

Well, not me, but my ex' hubbys work did a "secret Santa" thing every year when everyone had to "secretly" buy a present for someone else.
And some mean person bought him a really cheap looking Santa Hat for his secret Santa gift!!!
What the hell sort of present is that?! Especially as he always made an effort and bought nice stuff (bottles of whiskey, cufflinks etc for the men, perfume, jewellery for the women.)
Some people are so mean!!!
Mind you, same ex hubby once bought me 2 CD's as my Xmas present. Yeah, just 2 bloody CD's. Romantic eh? Especially as the guy was loaded. This is why he's my ex.

My mother in law bought me a size 10 skirt when she knew I was a size 14 and made me try it on infront of everyone which was very embarrassing!!I just about managed to do the zip up but then I sat down trying to smile gracefully even though I knew I looked awful and the seam ripped right down the leg.

i once spent about 500 on the nephew and neice, nice stuff they would like. I was pretty broke but full of the ole chrissy spirit. I recieved in return a packet of peanuts from the both of them, probably lifted from the mothers cupboard. (my neice was in her 20's and had about 25k in the bank) of course now I know why.

Well, for gag gifts: My dad gave me a "Polly Pocket" toy. It wasn't really mean for me, but it was pretty amusing considering he gave my brother one too.
The meanest.. Hmm, my best friend for over 10 years didn't know what to get me, so she asked one of my other close friends what they were getting me and just copied their idea. I thought that was a little rude and unthoughtful.

Cheapest: my brother forgot to get me a christmas gift, so he went in his room and found two of his old hot wheel cars, and wrapped them in kleenex. Then he wrote my name on a sheet of paper and taped it on.

when i was a young girl my brother gave me a gigantic box that was fairly heavy, i thought it was a statue of a horse i'd been wanting. i opened it and inside was a cinder block with a piece of candy taped to it and a card that said "rock candy"
that is cheap and kinda mean

We "celebrated" Christmas with my inlaws yesterday.
I got nothing. Seriously. Nothing.
Does that count as cheap or mean?
My husband and my daughters both got gifts from them.
Oh well, their loss....
Merry Christmas anyway!
