My friend Scott doesn't have one up because
a) no space-he lives in a tiny 150 sq foot apartment
b) money-decorations cost money
c) hassle-it takes time and patience to haul home a tree, real or not, and set it up
d) he doesn't need a Christmas tree to feel imbued with the holiday spirit and
e) it's a bigger pain in the neck to take it down after the holidays than it was to put it up before the holidays

we did and didnt, we have the same tree from last year. after christmas last we put it in the yard in a fresh pot with good keeping we got a years growth on it. what was a 3 foot tree is now a 5 foot tree (give or take an inch or two). after christmas is over were going to replant it in the wild, and maybe someday somebody is going to take a cutting from our tree and have a whole new tree.

Hello, we do not have one up.
With four dogs two of the biggest ones being a saint Bernard and the other a English mastiff one swoop of the tail and the darn tree would be on the ground.
We just do not think disrupting the house is worth it.
Have a great day!

i dont.
mom got a new job,
and her new boss is a pastor.
he says its in the bible that God doesn't like it when we cut a tree down,
bring it into our home,
decorate it,
"worship" it,
then take it out and leave it to die.
if you really think about it,
it kind of is a weird tradition anyway.
cause if youre thinking to me that "we decorate the tree to celebrate Jesus' birthday",
w.t.h. did a tree with ornaments have to do with Jesus' birth..??
also because we're broke,
and we're 4 months behind on rent,
and the only reason we still have a home to live in is because the landlord has a crush on my mom.
so me and my mom are more focused on gettin her bank account out if the negatives,
gettin the bills paid,
and gettin the rent paid off so we can go someplace cheaper.
i think that's more important than buying a tree.
but happy holidays to all anyways
=)

ME...I haven't!!!!!!

BUT, I do have a Christmas twig!! THe liitle un loves them!

Go to the local woods and find (oh! yeah! GET PERMISSION to take) a fallen branch with loads of twiggy bits. Paint it white and then suspend it from the ceiling and decorate with lights and tinsel and all the baubles you can find.

Looks brill, can't fall over it and you can really pile the pressies up :)

I don't have a Christmas Tree up because I have a handicapped child who will pull it over on himself and injure himself. We have a tabletop tree instead, out of his reach.

i dont because i have just got a 8month old spaniel labrador puppy and i am already a nervous wreck as she reeks havoc in the house without having to watch her with a tree

Because we're too broke to afford a tree this year. We didn't have one last year either for this same reason.
