Run a free online scan at Trendmicro. Depending on what it finds it may or may not be able to fix it. If not post back with the name of the virus so we can provide you with accurate removal instructions.

You can run a free online scan from Trendmicro. When I have tested it it takes some time to run it but it may be time well spent if it can fix any problems.

Sounds like your computer is infected with the Zlob Trojan. Zlob Trojan generates 'Critical System Alert' and other fake warning messages, then tries to force you into buying rogue antispyware products. To remove these message and the trojan that generates them, download and scan your PC with SpyNoMore, it is the most accurate program in detecting zlob infections.
