Come on, you KNOW New York City is the greatest city in the world! But, can you explain exactly WHY New York City is the best city in the entire world?

Don't hate on me, non New Yorkers - it wasn't your fault that you wern't lucky enough to be born here (like I was).
But, you can always move here, or just come for a visit
New York is an international town, filled with people who've moved here from all 50 states and from over 190 different foreign countries!
And they all came here because they know that our city is the best city in the world!

i have just 2 words 2 say ,,,mostly why it is ,,,,,,(texarkana texas)
thats where i moved to from nyc area

nyc is the most exciting full of wonder and entertaining place on earth ,,,,,,,,,,
i moved here in my early 30's and HATE this BORING tumbleweed place although i do well financialy
there is nothing 2 do Dallas sucks shreveport la sucks littlerock ar sucks ,,,,,,,,,houston & galveston are ok but 8 hrs away sorry everyone in the above mentioned towns because they are hardly worthy of city status I STILL LOVE N.Y.C because there is SO MUCH TO DO,,,,,,i can't even hardly go out here after 10pm places are already closing and the cops watch the bars ,,,,and if they catch u walking with a buz u GO TO JAIL for public intox even when you are not drunk and walking !!!!hell i tell ya
thank god my retirement plans are for malaysia ,,,penang island
next to KL and singapore,,,,,and in this town they barley put up christmas lights and its the bible belt

Oh no, it isn't. I can explain to you why it not the greatest city in the world:
1. It's crowded
2. People kill people there
3. It's way too noisy
4. It has a lot of trash
5. A lot of stores can be run down
6. You can always hear cars' horns blaring
7. Everyone is there
8. NYC is too common
9. Everybody likes it
10. Los Angeles is better!
Now here are the reasons why NYC is great:
1. There are shops
2. The things in shops are nice

New York is NOT the best city, i personaly think New Jersey is. But its a matter of opinoins. It is not. Its a great city, but not the best. Sometimes you REALLY have to think what so great about it. People think that New York is the most horriblest place ever. To answer your question: I think that New york is a great city, because I'm a city person, and NYC is the best place for city people. But lets face it, it not the best city in the world unless you've asked EVERYONE in the world, and they've ALL said it the best city.

I dont think its the greatest city in the world and if i was inclined to continue going on and on i would be able to come up with more reasons why it is not than i could that it was...sorry to dissapoint but i have been to many major cities and lived in several and they dont even come close to NYC...NYC is a rag.

I'd hardly call one of the most polluted, crime ridden, politically corrupt, obnxious cities in the world the greatest, but then again, Americans do think they are the centre of the world, they should try Tokyo sometime, now there's a city.

The only people who think that are people who live there and have never been anywhere else. I've been there 5or 6 times in the last year and I can't see how you stand it.

Umm, it's far from the greatest city in the world. It's full of crime and filth. I wouldn't want my worst enemy to live in NYC.
