Admittedly I haven't been keeping up with this past season very well (watched an L Word marathon on DVD with friends instead) so I missed some details. I assumed they were in LA, so Mexico seemed logical to me.

No they were in Canada.And we didnt know where she was headed. She just told Anjelica that they were going on a little adventure. Personally I think shes just going to drive back to LA. I dont think anything comes of it as Ive read some spoilers and no mention of repercussions for Bette are made and she seems to be heavily featured in season 4 with a new love interest. All will be revealed next month. I cant wait!.

As I recall they were in Canada when Bette's desperate act to keep Angelica, kidnaps Angelica and runs away. Since Bette has no legal standing at the time, it is kidnapping and not something like “Parental child abduction”. Serious problems can arise when abduction results in moving a child across an international border. I do not foresee any way the writers can have a happy ending after these events. Why would you think Bette would go to Mexico?

I have no clue where bette is taking her daughter, but i dont blame her for wanting to get the hell away from tina!
