They're enjoying the five minute break while they get someone else to listen to the children blabbering incessantly. Just think of the peace you're bringing to your friend.

well that would be nerve recking to you . but not to all. i have 2 children of my own, and i'm very happy about the first day they were to ever make a noise, and that goes for my 2 younger nephews as well i speak to them all the time knowing that they can't talk nor do they understand what i am saying. talking to children that can't talk , that's just to get them to be able to know who you are when you step into the room wrer they are located. that is how kids reconize most people and are not affraid of them.

YES. I have a friend who used to let her daughter answer tha phone when she was 3 and often she would just hang up on the caller if she didn't know who theperson was or if the person didn't want to talk to her. This stopped the day her aunt was hospitalized and the daughter hung up on the hospital 4 times.

I understand that people do this because they are annoyed by you. A friend of mine used to do this, to telemarketers when they called. It was hilarious.!!
