We all know that in contrast to black bears, grizzlies can’t climb trees.Not true!There have been a number of observations of young grizzlies climbing trees, and on one instance in Alaska, actually climbing a tree to attack a human who had retreated up a tree.They are not as adept at climbing as black bears, and it seems that only smaller grizzlies climb.

Some grizzly bears can/will climb a short distance.

Depends, adult bears tend not to climb trees but young cubs often do.

It depends on the tree, if its a weak, small tree than no, it will knock it down. But if its a really big strong tree, than yes.

When they're younger, older they weigh to much for the claws and bark to hold them..
