im looking to move away from New York how can i find a state comfortable to move me and my children to? im looking for cost of living, unemployment rates, social security rates, etc. i have no idea which state im looking to move in.

Looking at where to move is indeed a task oriented and time consuming enterprise
You really need to first look at the state's web sites and see what they say about themselves but don't be fooled you need more research than that Go to this link and click on each state you want to research

there are alot of ways:
the 1st and best might be to go to the state's actual website...
like going to yahoo and searching the states name

the 2nd way is to go to any site with crime, health, job percentages, cost of living and education statistics, that compares all the states on these topics

the last way is to go to your local library and look up info about your state through any books that have your state name in them

Put the state in your search engine and you will get all kinds of hits for that state

well, u might try using the CIA world factbook (https://www.cia.gov/cia/publications/factbook/index.html), or you could try the state's abbreviation in a www.gov format (i.e. www.ny.gov)
