i suggest you to spend it in a hotel. no more worries about the noise and no more asthma attacks from the smell of it.

That's a pity but you cant do anything about it. I guess you should have stayed in Davao City where loud and annoying firecrackers are banned. Well, you have several days before the New Year's eve celebration. So, start packing and head for Davao. You will not only have a serene celebration but will enjoy the beautiful sites, delicious foods and accommodating Davaoeños. :-D

I suggest you go on vacation to an isolated resort away from city centers. If I am not mistaken Davao City bans any form of firecrackers. Though some still occasionally use firecrackers in Davao but is limited due to the ban.

I suggest you go out of town for a day or so to a place with no fireworks. I am sure there has to be a place where u can go and relax far away from all this for few days. Or like the pervious poster recommended, EARPLUGS or use a headphones and listen to music all night long...Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you...

Wish I could help... This year they have those plastic cannon things with lots of noise. But it will only get worse - around New Year they take the muffler off of their motorcycles and ride around just to make noise.
I'm glad I live in a half way peaceful place.

Go get some firecrackers and set them off with your Friends. Your fears aren't a thing to run from. They're a thing to face.
