I was curious about how the computer works. How all the information is saved, or stored somewhere. Also what parts make up the computer. Thanks a lot.

I'm afraid your question is too generalised to leave a short answer, but the basics is the same way as how a clock works, with a clock you need all the cogs and spokes, and then a quality casing, and the same goes for computers.

But you need a graphics card for smooth images, sound card for blasting audio, RAM and a decent processor to run stuff, hard-drive to store information, and it all needs to be connected within the chassis.

For more information you could go on a computer course at your local college, or check about on the internet, keeping in mind that computers have 2 different sections of "working" hardware and software, hardware is stuff like your processor and graphics cards, software is stuff like your operating system and games.

Your curiosity is what will help you here, I was the same way, if you can afford it, buy an old computer or something and just mess around with it, it''s what I done in the beginning, then I studied ICT and computing at college, and made my own forum-board, (which now has 265,000 hits and is nearly 5 years old).

That is a large question, since it would take a few pages to describe them to you. Computers are just number crunchers, Like Adding machines on a larger scale. Thats ALL they understand is math. And with that in mind, thats why they are called Digital. The operating system, is a way to communicate with the Hardware in your computer. The HARD DRIVE is where all your perminate information is stored, and the Memory is a temporary storage device.
