Since yesterday I've been getting a prompt from Macafee saying my active shield is missing components or has not been downloaded properly!Was fine till then!
How did this happen and what can I do?

Delete McAfee and buy Norton Internet Security 2007.

Norton is not a good choice either. Your best options are Kaspersky Antivirus or Bitdefender.

My computer has never had a problem with Kaspersky Antivirus installed and I visit a lot of high risk sites.

i had my troubles with mcafee i could not contact by e mail i tried for days on end macafee want you to phone one of their technicians at over £1.00 per minute i finished up with corrupted hard drive cost to me £170.00 + £39.99 for their security that did not protect my lap top mcafee appologised to me but no refund for the protection i payed £39.99 for! SO GARY BEWARE of MACAFEE.

yes i have had this:::click on your main Macafee site and check your settings!!(mine have always been ok) your m sign bottom left will change to red (all ok)

just try updating it it worked for me
