I have 2 Dells
I'm trying to see which ones are the most popular!

The question was not which one was better, rather which one was more popular (like musicians).
I've got a 1.1Ghz Athlon made by AM-COMPS.COM - who went out of business sometime after fall 2003. That would be a "white-box" computer. I've got 4 or 5 Compaq Deskpros that I got for $25 bucks each.
Actually Dell was the most popular by sales until this year.
They dropped from #1 to #2 to be replaced by HP/Compaq.
A friend of mine finally got her Dell after 3 weeks, one DOA, and a dozen calls - most of which went to the India call center (in the trade magazines, this has been called "Dell Hell" for over a year.)
Dell is also charging a current buyers (like if you bought one today) a $40 fee for an upgrade to Vista. 90% of the other companies will offer it for free or S&H.
You add in the exploding laptop batteries and... Dell has not had a good year.

How are you going to decide which answer, is the best. Everyone has their own opinions of which computer they like best. I have two compaq desktop computers. I just bought a new one, about three weeks ago. I have always owned a compaq, I am not saying they are the best, I bought them on the basis of price, and my needs. I never had any serious problems, with any of them.
