Hi the old command to start up was F8 with DOS.
If you want to delete your hard drive you can also go to download.com and download free software to format your hard drive since you don't have CD or floppy drive.

Or you can also use a USB flash drive that has a boot system and boot it with that and then format your hard drive using your USB flash drive as the booting drive if your computer is not old.

If you can't get into the OS or have no floppy or CD drive or your motherboard doesn't have the option to boot from USB flahs drive, then chances are you will not be able to do a format or even delete anything.

If you have windows xp you will need to boot from your xp disk, you may have to open the bios and change the boot order for it to boot from a cd. If you have a floppy drive you can boot from a windows startup disk and run fdisk to remove the existing partition on your hard drive then format it to fat 32 . If you are not familiar with the above procedures you may want to take it to a computer repairman

There's no such command. Any formatting or partitioning operation would have to run off a disk. Bios can't do that. You'll need to get a cd or something that the computer can boot off of hooked up.

when you go to reboot you should see a screen that tells you how to enter your boot menu f12 for example. if your wanting to erase it that will take a drive wiping program for example wipe drive. which will cost you bout 30 bucks and can be bought at best buy and other stores.after you have the disc place it in your cd rom reboot the pc enter your boot menu then select boot from
ide cd rom device. then the drive erasing program will guide you from there.
