what is going on in Bermuda? i just went into a grocery store, and a 6 pack of diet coke was $7.99.

That Coke had to make about a 2,500 mile trip from the bottling plant. So naturally the price is high in Bermuda. It will also be true for bread, milk, and other things like that. If you are going to go to a ritzy place like Bermuda, be ready to cough it up!!

You have to pay to transport the Coke to the island. Anything that has to be brought to the island is more expensive than when you buy it at home but you notice it more on heavy stuff like sodas because it takes a lot of fuel to get it there.
