I mean, they don't disturb anybody. Whether they are bi, they cut or w.e. it doesn't affect anyone but themselves and possibly family/friends but thats it. And people are being cruel by saying "They should go slice their wrists in a corner somwhere" or "They should just go kill themselves" thats evil.

well to the people who dont know..emo is actually a type of rock music. and then it eventually evolved into emo ppl who are people who listen to the music, dress the clothes, and basically act like emos..most of them cut because of problems in their life

Well,Im half emo,(no I dont cut my wrist) People who make fun of emos just dont understand.Emos are just very depressed and once people make fun of them for being emo like "Lmao emos suck so much!!"Yeah that just makes them feel bad and so they grow more emo,the only way their should be no emos is if everyone STOPED making fun of them!They try to kill themselfs because life is hard on them,its not their fault.Emos are humans too,so my point is,people hate emos cause they just dont understand them,if you get to know an emo he/she could be a great friend.

1) Everything is connected to something else, so anything a person does affects others, and that in turn affects more people. It never boils down to it being just your own life.
2) As I understand it, emo stands for "emotional person" or something similar. Growing up and going through all of the changes it brings on makes everyone emotional, so I really don't see how emos think they're so different from all of the other kids.
3) People who say those things are being cruel. Some of them might say it because they are going through their own emotional crap but they don't act out in the way emos do. So they are tired of dealing with people who they view as giving up or refusing to look at the positive things in life as well as the negative.
4) You're being contradictory. If you feel that the way emos act doesn't affect anyone else, then you should feel that the way others act doesn't affect anyone but those people. Why, then, should people saying things about emos affect the emos, any more than the emos affect the people? It's because what I said in number 1 is true and deep down you know it even if you don't acknowledge it.

Because the majority of people think they are weird.They dont like anything to do with (unstable ) people in their eyes. I think its a shame they do that to emos. Bi's or whatever have just as much right to live and breath whether or what anyone thinks.

I mean this absolutely seriously...
I have enough problems to worry about myself without having to listen to emos whine on about how every aspect of their life sucks like they're the only people with problems. It's attention seeking it's ridiculous and they really need to grow up and get out more.
IMO.
Now i'm not saying that people who need help shouldn't get it, i'm saying that acting depressed to get attention a)won't work and b)will make you more unpopular.

I don't think most people hate emo's, I just think people see them as an easy target because they are so emotional. (emo is a shorthand term for emotional, usually implying that an 'emo' person listens to emotional music and are very in touch with their feelings).

never heard of this new word EMO, in high school we just called them bangers, punk rock roosters, sk8ers, and goths, but i dont believe people hate EMOs, not many people like to hear guys screaming at the top of there lungs stringing guitars with no beat and just going insane with no rhythm. just doesn't sound to good, but emo's will always be picked on and disliked for being diffrent and listening to there music and dressing diffrent, people dont like emo's because there just diffrent and dont fit in with society's choice of a regular person and in all honesty i was a banger at one time i didnt like it, just being secluded and being an outcast wasn't my thing, but people are just not gonna like EMO's because there just diffrent.

When I was a little kid there was no "emo". They were just people. Thanks to the strange person who thought that term up.
