You didn't specify what resources you already have. I usually go to http://wwwballroomdancers.com and buy 1 Latin and 1 Standard CD when I get bored with the music that I already have. Another good site for this is http://danceshopper.com Both sites have sample music for every CD - you can listen before you buy. Both sites have mixed Latin and Ballroom CDs but I usually don't like them, the songs are boring or cheesy or wrong tempo on mixed CDs.

Casa Musica releases pretty good albumns in my opinion.

I keep playlists on a jukebox program: one for foxtrots, one for rumbas, etc., so whenever I want to burn a dance mix it's a pretty simple matter. It's hard to surf for just the right waltz in a short time if you're starting from scratch. There are some CD's made (and sold on-line) specifically for ballroom practice, but I usually don't like the music at all; however, they can have good titles in them that can lead you to find a better cover of the same piece.

depends on what dance or dances you'll be doing. Do you need a mix of rumba, waltz, swing, cha-cha or do you need 1 particular beat/style?
You can use Amazon.com to look at the track lists for CD's of those dances for ideas.
