is more against illegal immigration? I know that each individual is different, but in aggregate, which party stands for what.

BTW, I'm more talking about the party's supporters, ie you and me. Its pretty clear that the politicians have realized at this point that there is no workable solution to the problem, and they are therefore almost entirely hands off on the subject.

Republicans. The conservatives are the only ones who have been willing to deal with this. Pres Bush is not a conservative.

My guess is that the Democrat would be the most likely to take some action since their supporters are more likely to be working people. The supporters of the Republicans are likely to leave this along since they are the employers of the illegal immigrant.
It is well known that a major move to deport illegals would be a major blow the the American economy since employers have become dependent on cheap labour to stay in business. This problem is not simple no matter who is trying to fix it.

The Republicans, however there are a few turncoat R's that are supporting the so-called "Guest Worker Program" of which in essence is amnesty... And in my opinion the law is the law, and those that cross our borders without legal documentation are outlaws, no more, no less...

Conservatives...they don't support illegal immigration, abortion, or gay marriage...that's why they are better. Liberals kill babies. And support gays. And Michael Moore. Boo.
