Hi I've been knitting for about a year now and I feel ready to design my own knitted clothing. Can you tell me of any good books, websites etc that will help me with getting started out. Thank you and merry Christmas!

There's lots of knitting design software out there. It's helpful if, like me, you're not good with math; otherwise, once you're familiar with how to assemble clothing, read patterns, and can calculate gauge, it's not too hard to do on your own. I'd find a basic pattern for whatever you're making and alter at will--a lot of good designs come out of just changing a stitch pattern, adding cables, or what have you. Really, though, it's just familiarity with the process--and the dreaded gauge!
