I read previous questions people asked on how to download videos from youtube and I had the same problem. So I downloaded a few things onto my firefox but I dont know what to do or if I even downloaded them correctly. I also downloaded FLVPlayer but when I tried a URL on it nothing happened. Please help =)

First you go to the firefox website and download the video downloader

Go to youtube, find the video

On the bottom right hand corner you should see a symbol that looks like to squares, this is on the browser not the page

click it and wait for the pop-up to load

when done right click the button that says download and save it wherever.

after that if you want to keep it in that format ( which I don't recommend doing) leave it and you're done

If you want to convert it go to http://www.media-convert.com and load the file, select the file format if it doesn't automatically (if you don't know the format go back to the pop up and it should say)

select the output for .wmv (Windows media video)

hit convert and follow on screen instructions

when it is all done the page should display a download button, click and save it and you're done
