One of the purposes of blinking our eyes is to clean it. Blind people do not use their eyes. Is eye blinking necessary for them?

Yes. In fact, many blind people blink MORE than seeing people, because it does not interfere with vision. It is an instinct designed to keep the eyes moist ... seeing or not, it is painful if you don't blink.

Try it ... it is difficult to keep from blinking, and if you hold your eyes open, it starts to burn rather quickly. And notice that you blink even in the dark.

Eye blinking is one of the autonomic actions of the body. The eyes blink to keep the eyeball moist, whether the person is blind or not.

Blind people who HAVE eyes sometimes blink. Some don't. Blinking is the body's method for rewetting the eyeball. If the eye doesn't get dry, you may not blink.

Yes, their eyes still register with their brains, the need to be lubricated, if an eye starts to dry out, it stings, so if a blind person has eyes they will blink.

Yes! As much as we do. The reason we blink is to keep our eyes moisturized, so blind or not you still must keep them moisturized.
