I need to get one that can record on both DVDs and Video Cassettes. I have tried e-Bay and many other sites. I need the price to be between $30-$100.

You can find these for close to your price range through Froogle, but get the extended warranties on cheap electronics or you'll usually be buying new in a few years. Also, watch Woot since they have deals around 70% off, BUT you have to decide to buy in sometimes minutes, so know what you want in advance.

Sorry but you won't find a unit that will record DVDs for under $100 anywhere. There are dual units with both DVD and VCR recording but they run in the $400 range.

May I suggest K-mart, Cost-Co... Go to any place but Wal-Mart. They ruin the economy, destroy small businesses, because they can't compete, and have run big businesses to the ground by getting special prices from the suppliers... Ultimately the suppliers loose so much money they can't afford to keep running. They can't back out of the deals the way Wal-Mart sets up the contracts... So everyone looses except Wal-Mart. I am sorry about going way off topic, but the company is a horrible economy buster. I would rather go to a store that treats the employees better, and works for the economy not against...

Watch for sales at K-Mart and Walmart. I just bought a combination VCR and DVD for around $65 on sale.
