Can be anything like reading comics, playing games, watching a dvd or working on a report, unless its a must-do-thing like my daytime job, but for weekends, I just don't have the mood to do things during daytime and even if I do, I will get easily distracted and that current activity will usually last only for awhile like 30 mins, many times, I will just take a few hours of nap and wake up in the evening, but when its nighttime, I find that I will want to do many things. I really hope to find someways where I can trigger myself to do things during the daytime because its a waste of time if I don't. Any advices?

You have the same sleep disorder as me. It's a night owl syndrome. Normally your body clock tunes you in for the daytime. Ours works in reverse. Are there any other family members with the same problem? My doctor says it's a dormant gene, that can be kicked in by stress. Try melatonin, and don't smoke in the evenings, or drink coffee etc. Antidepressants can also help in some cases.

Hi!
You are a night person? Some people are morning people, some are night people.
It sounds to me that you might simply need to sleep. It may be that there is some sort of strain, either mental or nervous, at your work. In that case, you would need extra sleep to maintain an equilibrium. I don't see this as a waste of time.... I know you did not put it that way ... but, you obviously need to sleep and to try to get so many things done is not the point. The point is: what can you expect yourself to accomplish in one day? Our minds can cook up a lot to do, but often we "bite off more than we can chew!" It seems that your sleeping hours are normal... and that is good!
There was a little song:
Lucky, lucky, lucky me .... I'm a lucky son of a gun, I work eight hours, I sleep eight hours, I have eight hours of fun!
Merry Christmas!

I think it must have something to do with your sleeping pattern as a baby. You're nocturnal. Advices, nothing very special. Go to a specialist and ask him/her to subscribe you a sleeping pill for 3 days use. Take them only after dinner and get use to the pattern of the drug. Off the 3 days, make sure you always have slight heavier activities during daylight and good hot bath prior bedtime.
Hope you get out of the vampire world :) Take care :)

There are some people out there who function at night time, we are some of those peeps.
If you want to function during the day your body needs to get used to this. Some night time people can adjust to this. Others have a big problem with this, I am one of those people, my father was one, his father I was told was another..Two of my children are night time peeps.
Good luck trying to change the way you are to something foreign.
It can be done I am told?

It's just routine and mindset, if this bothers you try making a point of it to do things during the day (make a schedule and stick to it) try sticking to it for 21 days straight, that is about the time it takes to break a habit and learn a new one

I am the same, but of course there are things that seem quite unorthodox at night instead of during the day, so I still get around during the day to do these...

you are nocturnal, as am i. two ways to go. either find yourself a night job, i worked graveyard for years (but it gets old), or change your habits. and that's the the thing, mainly it's habitual. you probably don't remember when it started, but you continued. it got comfortable. force yourself to get up. regulate your sleep patterns, or give in to it. not a bad thing some of us are just like that.

I agree with you ey. If it werent for the fact that i'd be screwed and grumpy for waking up at like 2-3pm, i would do all my things at night.
Its just peaceful and comforting, sometimes abit of inner-peace is needed, IMO.
