I have an x-acto knife blade dispenser which is rather old. I have seen similar models online but I cannot seem to get any blades out. If anyone could tell me how the blades can be removed I would appreciate it.

I have a rather old x-acto blade dispenser. I have seen similar models online but I can't figure out a way to get the blades out of it. It is not the knife itself, but something which holds extra blades.

Are you talking about the dispensers/containers which hold extra blades, or getting the blade out of the nib of an Xacto knife tool?

Or maybe there are some old Xactos that have extra blades in the handles of their knives?? like other "craft knives"... e.g., "matte knives." etc. (...those usually have a screw holding the blades hidden inside, or some covers may slide off?)

Good luck!

The blade are held in by a twisting action. There is a grip close to the blade on the handle. Turn this counterclockwise to open the jaws to release the blade. Vise versa to close them.

Usually, either the top of the handle has a screw-off feature, or there is handle is held together by a screw in the middle.
