I have a mouse and he has a little house but i wanted him to have something to blanket himself with because my room gets a little chilly but not to cold. Is there anything else that i should think about using, and if you could also answer,

What is the best way to build a playground?

I was thinking i could get a big plastic storage bin but one of the ones that is rectangular shaped and really low and long. I would supervise him of course and put a bunch of paper towel rolls and stuff in there and he could run around at his hearts content, :D

sooooooo...let me know what you people think :D :D :D :D :D :D

I've got a mouse and i really spoil him. Your best bet is to not make anything right now. wait till febuary. but until then, collect EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING. toilet paper rolls, paper towel rolls, tissue boxes, cereal boxes, ladders, rope, shoeboxes. have fun while making it and always supervise him.

also, toliet paper is more comfortable than paper towels. or, give him a paper towel roll, and he will shave the inside of it and put the shavings in his house. mine always does.

hope this helps. have fun!

When I had some they prefered stuff from outside. Big pieces of bark, leaves and sticks can be used to make a great playground and gives them stuff they'll enjoy chewing and moving about. Offer them a tiolet paper tube, they'll play in it and make their own bedding from it as well. I wouldn't worry about them getting cold. If your cumfortable enough their fine, they have fur.

At most pet stores you can find a big hard cardboard tube that comes with a super warm nesting matterial. You could try that or just make your own cardboard tube and stuff it with cotton balls. It will keep your mouse warm. Hope that helps! :-D

Shredded newspaper is pretty good for bedding material. We used the Toilet and paper towel roll cylinders for tunnels and things for out pet mice.

Well, since I believe that hamsters are a little close to rats and mice, I give my little hamster Kleenex. She doesn't chew it, but brings it inside her tiny house and uses it as a bedding in the house.

I hope that helps!
