When we adopted a dog from the shelter, her name was Dolly but my daughter's friend already had a dog named Dolly so we changed ours to Molly. That way it would still sort of sound similar to the dog and not confuse her if we started calling her by something different than what she was used to. We figured she had been through enough already, having to live in the shelter for four months.

Heidi she is a cocker spaniel my big dog died from cancer 2 years ago on Nov 6th and I miss her a lot her name was shadow and she was a Shepard/pit mix
