Although I will admit I do like the x factor (not a leonna fan) I do think that it is unfair it should even make the top ten let alone number one. All songs are cover versions which is appauling and NOT in the least christmas type songs. I would rather have Slade at number one every year than somthing from that show who ever wins and sings it.
If I was Leonna or a winner from that show making number one at christmas I would not stand proud of it as it has been manufactured to the hilt and KILLED the real christmas number one.

Your not alone, i totally agree with you! X.Factor (for example) concludes just before christmas, so therefore it is almost inevitable that the winner is going to get christmas number one! But this is unfair, as a singer/group who have proved they are capable of sticking around and that they can produce a number of their own songs, should be the one to get xmas no1. This year Leona got xmas number one-she may be a good singer but no one knows if she's capable of sticking around or producing her own songs, especially as her debut single is a cover version!

I agree and I don't even think anyone from Pop Idol/ X Factor have ever produced anything worth while listening to. They also produce their first single which they sang in the programme and everyone buys it but after that they go down hill. Although I suppose Will Young didn't do too badly

I agree with you..I dont like leonas new song, not particuarly christmas themed is it? and lets be honest if anyone else had released it it wouldnt have made top ten. I do however think that leona is a very talented lady and deserves success which is rare qualities for the winners of those rubbish shows..

I thought it was the X Factor, but almost the same. Leona Lewis from X Factor, got to Number One today.

you do understand Cowell receives the royalties on ANY of the diversities good? he owns the rights to the lyrics / music.. the Leonard one also.. so purchase peter Kayes music extremely... cowell is all about the money and human beings are stupid sufficient to line his wallet at the same time with his 2 hour ad for his bunch of singers.

Maybe but i'd rather listen to Leona than Mr Blobby or the Hamster song. It's not like the years before x factor have necessarily been a golden age for music.

Most POP nowadays is manufactured crap. Get a life and your own opinions and stop listening to chart music! Listen to real music instead, some that's played with actual instruments not electronic machinery!

No you are not alone, it seems the winner of X Factor is destined to get to the no1 spot. It really is quite disappointing!
Then again I couldn't really care less who gets no1.
