Hi!
I find I learn some things faster.... they are the lessons that are easier for me.
The others seem to be on a longer wave pattern, so to speak ... and it does take me a long time to learn them, I think because they are habitual patterns and I do not question them and can waste a lot of time. However, I find that if I ask questions of (myself) I can catch myself and change course. For example, if I am spending too much time on "Answers" I can catch myself if I remember ... or I can get lost in all the different subjects that come up. This is part of a pattern I have ... of not asking: what shall I do today .. and how much time should I spend on it. And, with respect to "Answers," sometimes it is a question of relaxation ... it beats fatigue, I find!
What I am trying to say, I think, is that some things are not a part of your nature. It takes a certain amount of time and determination to get new and better habits started.

Yes, I believe that.
I believe a lot of lessons take a lifetime to learn because the world around you, as well as yourself, are constantly changing in reaction to the situations we are presented with in our lives. What might seem like the same lesson in the beginning can always turn out to be something surprisingly different when the lesson is learned.
In a similar vein, a situation that presents itself to you can teach you a brand new lesson, or something you already knew from the beginning but somehow forgot in the course of learning new things. It's just the way of life -- lessons come back to haunt you like a midterm in experience. And you've passed the test when you've passed it, you fail it, then you learn a different lesson :)

Yes, learning is a continuous process and specially, if something is ever changing or ambiguous like love, responsibilities, commitment, human nature, natural laws, etc. But as a whole, we learn everything continuously, not some lessons.
Each and every moment is different and everything changes in every moment, specially, the living organism and more specially the human mind for any or no reason. So, we are to learn and learn......

People actually go through life experiencing millions of lessons. How many of them do they learn and they actually stay with them? Sadly only a few, because humans go through life only typically evolving like 5 points in their consciousness. We as humans dont respond to change well and tend to keep relying on our old patterns and spiritual growth is also challenging. Which is why we have to live soo many lives. Which is why I read spiritual books on a daily basis and try my hardest to learn new insights and ways of living and reasons behind things so I break out of any old molds I have accumulated. I want these difficult lessons to stick after the first time for damn sure so I dont have to repeat them. Why go through all that pain for nothing?

Well yes i do believe it .... but this is our choice ... i think we don't like the answer we always get and keep trying and hoping for a better answer through out our life. So it takes us forever to learn.

Oh yes. We make the same mistakes over and over, mostly because we try to convince ourselves that this time it will be different.
My mistake is falling in love (with love). It's agonizing. I keep saying I'll never do this again, but no matter how hard I resist, it happens. Maybe this time it will be different. Ha ha!

Totally...i guess sometimes we don't learn from our first mistake or second mistake etc....... it just depends on our stubbornness to face reality

Yes, and then the young people can't benefit from your wisdom because they think they already know everything, so they don't listen.
