The best way I can tell you to approach a flier is with a true photo editing program like Photoshop, Photo Impact or something similar. You need something that can handle both pictures and text and allow you to use them in a dynamic way. The best fliers will be those that GRAB attention and make people want to stop and read. Anyone with a CRUNK interest will notice that and nothing else when first glancing at the flier.

These programs are never simple at first glance and take a lot of trial and error. I was fortunate enough to have someone teach me how to use Photoshop but there was still a great deal I had to learn on my own.

The trick is to not try and get too fancy. Simple sells. Simple usually looks better and takes less time. Fonts are a big deal as well. Once you get a program you can search the web for other fonts that are more eye catching and interesting than the default fonts that come with most programs.

Photoshop is the way forward for flyers. Theres probably copies on Limewire. Not that I would condone downloading illegal software of course!
