only a few people answer questions that really require you to think?
Makes you wonder, eh?
I foresee a lot of answers criticizing this question but oh well... Quality is what I go for so...
Thank you , Stargazer, for the inspiration.

Yes! Maybe because it is quicker to just type a short "coke" or "pepsi" than actually thinking something through. And when I have a throrough answer, it usually takes me long enough to compose it that there are 10 answers ahead of me and by then my anwer sounds redundant.

But I am grateful for the few who think answers through! And you never know when they are out... I can post one question in the morning and a similar one the next night and one question will get NO answers and the next will get several good answers...

So thanks to the good answerers. You keep me inspired to do the same!

Yep it is interesting. I think it's all about the points. A Coke vs. Pepsi question requires little time. There is no thought. A quick 2 points and it's on to the next question. The questions that require thought, and even more time to answer, take up the same amount of time that one could've answered 15 Coke vs. Pepsi questions. So stick and move and get 30 points in 5 minutes, or 2 points answering a more provocative and engaging question. Some people just aren't that deep. In the end... I do thank you for the 2 points!

Pepsi.
Coke in my opinion is too thick and syrupy, whereas Pepsi is just plain sugar water. Absolutely delicious, although I actually don't drink that much soda. People avoid answering questions that make them think because they are driven by the necessity for efficiency and gratification. If you can answer five questions without having to really put effort into them, why not? It gets you 10 points, and, in terms of cyberspace at least, it gives you a sense of accomplishment and a done-good attitude. Sure, a million other people gave the same answer, but who cares about them? You didn't have to think; it only takes a second or two. Just a second in our already busy lives, in which everything is routine and rote memorization and overscheduling. Nobody has time for anything these days, except to not think. Most people don't have time to wrap their own gifts, to clean their own houses, or, heck, even to make their own food. And for that, my friend, the easiest solution happens to be going down to a fast food restaurant and ordering a Pepsi and a burger.

I agree to a point. I find myself avoiding questions that have to do with someone's state of mental health. Its not that I dont want to help or prevent a suicide..its just that I am not qualified to try to tap into someones mind. If it happened ine real world yes i would try to talk to a person in trouble.. another thing: I come here to Not think. Most of the time people dont care what you say anyway. But you get some that take offense at the least little thing and they will report you. It amazes me what people get their feathers ruffled over. We are just typing words on a computer screen people! Oh yes I have given this serious thought and....

I prefer coke.

too true. The Coke vs. Pepsi thing comes out about three times a day from some real genius who just thought up a new question. And the folks who consistently answer them even unto the 120th asking, have nothing better to do or are looking for the 2 points and don't care.

I like the thinkers, myself. It gives me something to chew on. Sometimes I resort to smartaleck answers, but it's still in my head messing around!

i could p.c. Coke because of the fact from the story i comprehend, maximum folk theory Pepsi stole Coke's recipe. yet, in my opinion, they have diverse tastes and Coke is extra powerful. I additionally like Coke's classified ads and how Coke was (or nonetheless is) American Idol's sponser.

Criticizing???? In the last 36 hours, I've had two questions flagged and deleted for no apparent "logical" reason!!!!!! A girl can ask a question about her boobs but when I asked a question like:finish this:All I want for Christmas is my two......Plus this one: What the dumbest, silliest, strangest, etc. Christmas gift you ever received! I lost 30 points for asking two innocent questions! Sorry about the ranting. Have a Merry Christmas!!!!

I've noticed that as well and if a person has a legimate question people will give some worthless answer that makes you want them to go answer a coke vs. pepsi question.
