Does anyone else out there get nothing for Christmas? A little girl asked me the other day why I had no presents under my tree. Her Grandma answered for me saying Christmas isn't about presents byt about Jesus's birthday. It was nice of her to say that because it is true. After Christmas, people ask me what I got for Xmas and I tell them nothing and they look at me funny. It upsets me inside but I don't let anyone see it. Does anyone else go through what I go through each year?

I don't have a family that gives presents. I haven't gotten any presents since my mother died 14 years ago.

Betty, you think I'm pulling your leg. Think again. My son doesn't even get me anything for my birthday,Mother's Day or Christmas. I rarely hear from my family until they need something. You see, I am a giving, caring person that loves life and people. I truly enjoy helping others with no thought of getting anything in return. I do God's work. So no I am not pulling your leg.

All I tend to get is cheques from my parents.
Last year I actually got to spend a Christmas with my partner of the time so exchanged gifts with her family.
This year I get to spend a couple of days with my new partner between Xmas & New Year, so will again exchange presents.
But it doesn't bother me in the slightest.

Christmas hasn't ended yet. There may be some hope in getting a present or getting a loved one to come back or getting a loved one. You never kno someone may come up to ur door and say merry christmas with a BIG gift.
If not. I'm sorry you don't get any presents, however, christmas is about giving and all you have to do is to give, someone will return the favor sooner or later.

For many years when the kids were young and money was tight, I received nothing for Christmas, but we planned it that way, as the kids come first. Now that they are grown, they work very hard at making sure that I have gifts each year. I have always enjoyed giving, but it is nice to be on the receiving end too, but it really doesn't matter if it is expensive, as long as it comes from the heart. Merry Christmas!

Why do you think you get no presents?
Do you give people presents that is really far more fun.
When I get a present to open (only 1 0r 2) I do not enjoy it! I am worried that I have to look like I like it if it is not something I would ever use.... But maybe you could find someone you know for next year and ask them if you could exchange gifts if you want to open something so bad. Or you could let me send you my Scary gifts!
Or during the year buy things for yourself and wrap them up, you are bound to forget what is inside and at least you know you will like them!

Okay , I admit to loving getting presents but thats not what I love about Christmas.
Its the excitement of seeing your family and the love you feel for them. Curling up by a warm fire after eating my grandma's food, seeing the look on my parents face when I can still give them homade gifts and its more special than anything i bought. That and much more is what I love about Christmas!

I always have presents under my tree and in my stocking because I am a good girl. Of course since nobody else realizes this I buy my own presents, wrap them and put them in my stocking so I will always have something to open on christmas day and I know I will really like what I get

Christmas isn't about the presents but you should still get at least one. I'm sorry that your parents or whoever is responsible are so harsh on you. Merry Christmas honey!
