my bro in law has just got a pc, he dosn,t have a phone line in his house, is there anyway he can get connected to the net without it

If he has a wireless network adaptor and neighbors with unsecured networks, he could use the neighbor's wireless connection. In the U.S. it's legal, provided that he does not attempt to access other machines on the neighbor's network.

if you are in uk and have cable in your area ntl does it , i had a problem with at the start but i had a good service when they came to sort it out and they gave me a months free for my troubles i would recomend them
