You have to remember that this crowd are the same one's who are the tofu munching, "thou shalt not wear diamonds", vegetarian, ink on mink crowd that would rather save wildlife over humans. If it were at all possible, would return the world to a more natural state with fewer human beings over populating the planet; without any polluting chemicals and vehicles. These are the same people who see nothing wrong with illegal immigration and would rather erase borders betweencountries.
Their mindset is very simple, stop to think how the people they are advocating for in the Middle East still live, as if still in the 1600's. The anti everything Taliban are facist, just like their counterparts over there that are thanking them. They do more damage to America and the American way more than anybody else!
They have the sick idea that everyting is relative, there are no absolute truths, have no real feeling for anyone or anything but themselves. Their entire world view is twisted to the point of political correctness gone mad. Ever wonder why the sudden push for polygamy, child marriages etc...? Any and everything goes with them and there are no morals. If they overcome the rest of us, nobody will have any liberties within reason, in telling you what to eat, drink, smoke or not to, when to go when not to go etc...etc....This bunch wants to destroy the United States Constitution, last time I checked it is called treason.
It is a sad state of affairs and I hope that the government sees fit to reopen mental institutions where they can rant politically correct nonsense until the cows come home. They need to be in a place where they will be given taxpayer funded medication and welcome sanity into America again.

Because we don't get our information from the sensationalistic mainstream media. We read books and articles whose goal is not to inflame or entertain, but to actually inform the readers.
President Ahmadinejab has made some disturbing comments, that's true. Then again, so did George Bush (Crusade, axis of evil, etc...) A lot of this, from either side, is clearly political trash talk and doesn't mean much. Just because somebody says something stupid, it's no reason to bomb a country to smithereens - especially if that's likely to cause more problems than it could possibly solve (I would rather not have a second Iraq in the region, right next to the first one).
Iran is more complex than the mainstream media lets on. There is actually democratic movement in Iran and there are signs this society could change for the better without U.S. military intervention. President Ahmadinejab does not have as much power as the mainstream media portrays him to have. He has to respond to a parliament and to the mullahs. He recently lost some of this power in partial elections, which went with hardly any publicity in the U.S., mainly because those elections were not sponsored by the Bush administration (OK. There's probably some problems with the electoral process in Iran, but it's not nothing as bad as what went on under Saddam Hussein).
So given that:
1) Fledging democratic progress does occur in Iran and that military intervention is likely to destroy that.
2) That the President of Iran is really not that powerful within Iran.
3) That further destabilizing the region at this point would surely be more catastrophic than any problem such an undertaking is supposed to solve.
Dialog is not that crazy an idea.
Merry Christmas to all.

lol re "lunatic friends." Normally I'm pretty much of a conservative but sometimes I actually agree with the liberals.
In this case I do. Once upon a time, our presidents always tried the negotiations approach & worked to maintain peace. Obviously this didn't always work but who knows how many wars may have been prevented with this approach. I've read that Kennedy averted war with Russia during the Cuban missile crisis because of direct talks with Kruschev.
With Bush's pre-emptive war on Iraq many Middle Eastern countries & Korea no longer trust us & feel that they must arm themselves against us. Bush doesn't even want to try to improve relations with Iran by recognizing their fears & opening a line of communication (per newspaper columnists & Time).
Also, I don't agree that our form of government is necessarily the best for all countries & I certainly don't agree with our imposing it on other countries. Its created civil war in Iraq. Granted, many countries are run by tyranny but if we were to war with all those countries we'd be in wars forever.
And so, my conservative friend, I want to wish you a Merry Xmas & a Happy New Year.

Talking to those who would bomb us worked in Ireland. Why should it not work to bring peace elsewhere? Terroism doesn't spring from nowhere. It rises when people feel they are not being listened to or their grievances acknowledged and it is this which unfortunately will give rise to a certain extreme elements taking up arms. America's blind support of Israel no matter what and our blind support of America hasn't helped the situation at all. Terrorism isn't new. Many countries have lived under it's shadow for generations. Ireland and Spain being obvious examples.
Merry Chirstmas to you too. :)

Well, i have to say this that your brainwashing is complete.I hope you have a nice life with your wife and 1.5 kids. Truth is my friend she will cheat on you eventually and your kids will grow up to be assholes. There is a reason for this my brother. You are a sheep. What the hell do you know outside of what you digest from the media. Sounds like nothing. Thats ok though I fault your parents they are probably sheep to. Keep folowing that way of thinking and drive your car to Mcdonalds and get your heart attack then your midlife crisis then your death in you nursing home. That's all your gonna get with that way of thinking. Reason is you have no clue whats going on and if someone actually told you. well i think it's safe to say you would probably, in the least change your sexuality.

Cool, left-surpassed human beings are the basically ones of their good options (the left area of the mind controls the right area of the body) regrettably, i'm not in my good options, so i'm good surpassed.

they don't really think that way, they think we need to win through morals, even if it costs more lives on both sides. In other words, they favor PC wars and american deaths as such
